Noorul-Uyoon was published in May 1991. Due to the political situation in Kashmir, the book could not be distributed there. After the demise of the translator in January 1997, attempts were made by Dr. Rashid Ahmad Zafar Shah (his eldest son) for distribution of Noorul-Uyoon so that Kashmiris could benefit from this word of Allah as desired by the deceased. However all the attempts ultimately were materialized in a more appropriate manner, with the support of Mr. Azad Ahmad Shah (second son of the deceased), when Noorul-Uyoon was uploaded on internet in 2009. It is our earnest desire that this website will become more resourceful for Quranic publications in future Insha’Allah.

UPGRADE 2014:
This site was launched in September 2009 with the sole objective that the same will become a knowledgeable source to understand Quran in a better manner. The first translation of complete Holy Quran in Kashmiri language was carried out about 50 years ago by my uncle Moulana Muhammad Yousuf Shah Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir with the caption as 'Bayan ul Furqan' which enjoyed the recognition as a very comprehensive translation resultantly, said translation was first published in 1970 by Shaheed Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq, the then president of Anjuman Nusrat ul Islam Srinagar Kashmir. It was also later published in 2003 by King Fahad Quran Complex, Madina Munawara Saudi Arabia. It may also be pointed out that, said translation was aired on radio by the son of translator namely, Molvi Muhammad Ahmad in 1960’s till the time the entire translation was converted and made available on CD’s. However, the objective in mind is to expand the scope of this site to ensure in depth under understanding of Holy Quran. The Seerat of Prophet Muhammad (SWA) is also made available through this site with the objective to facilitate the understanding of Quran for our new generation which is exposed to intricate and complex challenges of modern technological era. It is needles to mention that, Seerat-un-Nabi which is written by Allama Shibli Noumani is eruditely comprehensive and said book has also been made available as a link.
This site is exclusively designed to promote the understanding of Holy Quran in such a progressive manner so as to throw light on the general issues of day-to-day affairs of modern life. We have also linked the book captioned as ``Islam in Perspective`` which has virtually indexed all the issues related to Islamic values/rituals in a topical manner.The learned commentators Sayyid Qutb and Adil Salahi, while responding to various queries(Q&A), seek guidance from the Holy Quran and Sunnah. We further recommend the book “Al-Meezan” by Javed Ahmad Ghamidi which is also linked on this site. 
This website does not belong to any sect or organization. We also invite the scholars and intellectuals to render their worthy contribution to substantiate this site with their thoughtful research.Finally it is our desire that the fragmented Muslim Ummah of today should feel proud to call themselves just 'Muslims'.May Allah bless all of us with " right" knowledge and give us the courage and power to accept and practice it to improve the quality of our personal and professional lives.
